Super interesting insights. As a former high school teacher it was always of interest to me to observe a class full of children during these flu, cough, cold etc outbreaks. Why do some children get ill and others don't when all have been exposed to the virus? A worthy question to explore.

Yes, I think that is just it - returning to our own unique insights, prioritizing empirical knowledge, and relieving ourselves of the doctrines that refuse to be challenged on the grounds of absolute rule. That in itself is a glaring sign of fallacy, if you ask me. But, yes, the predictable and repeatable absence of "active infection" in "exposed" people is a key clue to look deeper (see the Rosenau experiements from around 1918).
