I’ve decided to commit to something. I love to share my thoughts and expand on topics that interest me. I enjoy introducing a wider audience to my work. And I appreciate all of you who come here to enjoy my work and learn more about bioregional herbalism, foraging, Vitalism, or ancient cultures.
So I’m committing to sending you some fresh thoughts to your inbox every Sunday morning. Some of these may be off the cuff, some may be well sculpted over time, but either way you’ll get a weekly dose of my thoughts coming from these 4 (admittedly broad) categories…
Bioregional Herbalism
A Vitalist’s Perspective
Viewing the Landscape
Traveling Forager
This may 1) keep me focused on a rhythm of releases and 2) allow me to remain focused within my weekly Sunday posts, while leaving some room to push into other terrain in the intervening time. And you can come to count on seeing me in your inbox each Sunday morning.
Thought to self: I may not need to start 2-3 additional Substack pages…
(I make noble [re: naive] attempts to organize my ever-expanding thoughts)
Okay, now comes your part.
What do you want to see here?
Yes, I’ve narrowed the scope somewhat, but I’ve left a lot of room open to explore. This could go on for a LONG time… so, what is it that interests you the most?
Let me see your comments below and then I will create a poll, or series of polls to see if I can narrow down some of the ideas coming out of the group.
Frankly, with just Bioregional Herbalism alone I can produce a 3-5k word essay every week (I think instead I will be working on that book that’s been waiting to come to life for several years now), easily.
So please help me narrow down my thoughts a bit, or just inspire me with your brilliance and make me do the work.
Awaiting your commands…
I love reading about your interations with your mentor in Mexico - I apologize for not recalling her name. We are so swamped by unimportant distractions, I feel that you uphold the sanctity of her teachings as you share them and what they mean to you. Thank you for your writings.
There’s no way I could narrow it down! My vote is to keep it as expansive as possible and see what flows. All really great topics.
